Is there a connection of Revelation chapter 6 with birth pang signs in the gospels spoken of by Jesus? Revelation 6 uses imagery of four terrible riders bringing death across the face of the earth. Who are they? Is this symbolic imagery or are there real entities permitted to bring widespread devastation as harbingers of greater judgement coming against the wicked of the earth? This post will look at the similarities between the birth pang signs and these riders.

Horses in the first century were the fastest land based transportation, symbolic of speed, strength, and agility. In the context of Revelation, the horses are perhaps symbolic of the rapid and forceful spread of the effects associated with the riders. Who are the riders?

I looked on when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a thunderous voice, “Come!” So I looked, and here came a white horse! The one who rode it had a bow, and he was given a crown, and as a conqueror he rode out to conquer.

Revelation 6:1-2

The Conqueror

The rider of the white horse wears a crown of victory and carries a bow conquering and to conquer. The identity of the first rider is a subject of debate. Some mistakenly identify the rider as Jesus Christ. This rider is not Jesus Christ for many reasons. Logically this cannot be the Lord Jesus Christ because He is in heaven breaking the seals of the scroll not riding as one of the four terrible riders. Does he break the seal to release himself? Nonsensical. Others say this is likely Antichrist. Possibly, but if not the beast himself, then certainly the spirit of Antichrist.

There may be a hint of identity in the words used to describe the armament of this rider. The Greek word used in this passage translated as “bow” is “toxon” from whence the english word “toxin” is derived. The word “bow” is perhaps taken too literally by some scholars as a bow with no arrows. But the word “toxon” implied the arrows, quite possibly poisoned arrows. Archers of the ancient world understood the greater military effect of poisoned arrows. Consider the following reference:

[The Greek] word toxon meant ‘bow’ (as in bows and arrows) and at some point the archers discovered that they could achieve a higher kill-rate on their enemies if they dipped their arrows in a poisonous concoction of some description before releasing them. Over time the word toxon came to refer to the mixture rather than the bow and arrows and eventually made its way into English meaning ‘poisonous.’ (Article).

Could those poisoned tipped arrows represent the poison of a vaccine as a mechanism to bring the earth under subjugation? The identity of the rider is unknown but so is the identity of the forces operative today working to subdue the world, reduce population, and establish a one world government. Behind the human minions, the elite of the world who oppose God, are the spiritual forces of darkness directing them.

If the “poisoned arrows” are the shots planned for us to weaken our immune systems, and get us conditioned to obey world authorities, it certainly makes things easier for the three other riders to accomplish their task.

Another possible meaning is that there really is no need for weapons carried by this rider per se because the subduing is accomplished through deception and brainwashing of the masses by an authoritative entity that could represent anything or anybody involved in polarizing people against each other to the point that the next rider takes over. This could include the unseen elite billionaires using social media to accomplish this purpose.

The first warning from Jesus in the Olivet Discourse is regarding deception. Did you ever consider deception as a tool to subdue the world? It’s actually quite effective as we found out during the pandemic. If that is what is represented by this rider, then expect his ride to continue.

The Butcher

Then when the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!” And another horse, fiery red, came out, and the one who rode it was granted permission to take peace from the earth, so that people would butcher one another, and he was given a huge sword.

Revelation 6:3-4

The rider of the red horse is a butcher, a spiritual entity that takes peace from the earth, armed with a huge sword. The first observation is this is a worldwide effect. Secondly, the translated word “butcher” is accurate since the Greek word carries a meaning of violence and murder. The word does not necessarily mean warfare although that is not excluded, but this may be more consistent with people groups rising against each other out of a hatred fanned into flames by the conqueror of the white horse.

The rider is armed with a large sword. The adjective translated “huge” in the above passage leaves no doubt about the size of the sword. The description of the word “sword” in the Greek includes a curved sword such as the scimitar, an ancient weapon used in the Middle East. Many current and historic flags of Muslim entities include curved swords like the scimitar (designed to be used from a horse).

Who is it that takes peace from the earth through murder driven by hatred? What people around the world conduct violent demonstrations in the streets? What people are guilty of butchering innocent, unarmed civilians? What organization has a name that literally means “violence” What people driven by this demonic entity intend to subdue the earth with the sword? It’s not Christianity and it’s not Israel. Look on the news feeds today. You’ll have your obvious answer.

Nation will rise against nation and kingdom will rise against kingdom. The butcher rides!

The Controller

Then when the Lamb opened the third seal I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” So I looked, and here came a black horse! The one who rode it had a balance scale in his hand. Then I heard something like a voice from among the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat will cost a day’s pay and three quarts of barley will cost a day’s pay. But do not damage the olive oil and the wine!”

Revelation 6:5-6

“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world. ” — Henry Kissinger

Henry Kissinger must know this rider. The control of both food and financial resources is implied in this quote from scripture which is eerily similar to what Kissinger said. Once the world is subdued, the worldwide population will easily be controlled through an iron grip by the elite on the food supply. Access to food will be through meager wages for the compliant. With universal income provided by the government through Central Bank Crypto Currency, all will be beholding to the government. Comply and eat. Defy and die.

What is happening to the grain market due to war and lack of access to agricultural inputs? What is happening to food production facilities around the world? Some day there may be no way to get your own food beyond what is rationed.

Jesus said in the Olivet Discourse there will be famines.

Death and Hell

Then when the Lamb opened the fourth seal I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come!” So I looked and here came a pale green horse! The name of the one who rode it was Death, and Hades followed right behind. They were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill its population with the sword, famine, and disease, and by the wild animals of the earth.

Revelation 6:7-8

So there is the subjugation of the world, the rise of the butchers who indiscriminately murder, the coming global control of the population, all leading to the intended result of these riders. Death on a massive scale.

We see a world today in which some of these things seem to be in progress. Are the first three horses galloping over the earth? They ride in close proximity to each other, one after the other preparing the world for the dreadful ride of the pale (sickly green) horse.

Famine and a weak immune system leads to widespread disease. I heard one analysis that indicated that “wild beasts” could possibly mean microbes or viruses.

Interestingly, the word for sword here carries the meaning of a javelin, a thrusting weapon. This is a different Greek word than the word translated “sword” for the second rider. Thrusting device perhaps…like a hypo? Nothing causes death on such a large scale as disease released on a weak, hungry, cold population. 25% of the population. Over two billion people. This certainly aligns with the godless elites goals of drastic population reduction.

But of course, the story doesn’t end there. There are the remaining two seals. The sixth seal is the wrath of the the Lamb which begins the outpouring of judgement on the earth from Heaven.

Are the first three riders loose upon the earth? If there is a connection of these riders with the birth pangs signs in the Olivet Discourse, and there are indeed similarities, then it’s possible.

Speculation? Perhaps. Hint: what is the top news story in the world today? The ride of the butcher begins? Observe what is happening on the earth today. Follow reliable sources and draw your own conclusions.
