The last few posts in this series have been about signs manifested in the visible realm of our culture. I’ve suggested that these manifestations are driven by forces in the unseen realm. There are multiple layers at work in the unbelieving culture today:

• The first layer is what we see in the visible world around us. This is the layer where we must observe the signs indicated by the Lord as birth pangs.
• The second layer are the human forces driving the culture using propaganda delivered through social media and the internet to brainwash and control the unsuspecting masses. People don’t know they are being manipulated into doing exactly what these evil people want them to do to achieve their goals of global government using global re_set. These people and their agenda are hidden in plain sight but they work behind the scenes consolidating their power and triggering many crises around the world.
• The bottom layer is completely hidden. These are demonic spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm who control the middle layer through deception and possibly, even possession. There is also demonic influence of unsaved people at first layer.

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.

Ephesians 6:12

Paul’s letter to the Ephesus church is the go-to place for spiritual warfare. We often think about chapter 6 in reference to this topic but really, the entire letter is about spiritual warfare and how it is to be conducted by the church.

With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and petitions for all the saints.

Ephesians 6:18

We should be alert, in the Spirit, and in constant prayer for the saints. That is how the battle is to be prosecuted by believers. And yet, we focus on politics, thinking our savior is government led by our favorite politicians. Sadly, this reliance and fixation on government, even by Christians, plays into the hands of those who are driving us towards a one world antichrist government.

Kingdom Against Kingdom

In reading the prophecy about the birth pang signs, we don’t really pay much attention to the distinction the Lord makes between them. Details are important. There is a distinction in this part of the prophecy I mentioned in the last post:

• Nation will rise against nation
• Kingdom will rise against kingdom

I suppose this could be speaking of nations against nations and wars, etc in the natural realm, or maybe it is a Jewish idiom speaking about the same thing in different ways. But I’d like to suggest something different. We know what nation against nation is per the last post. We also know that countries rising up against each other as well as general unrest and chaos are already covered in the wars and rumors of wars prophecy.

Kingdom against kingdom could not have been referring to the time of the disciples since it is clearly an end-times birth pang sign. Like all the birth pang signs, it refers to the end times just prior to the Tribulation period. Also, there are not that many “kingdoms” that exist today. I can think of a few: Syria, Saudi Arabia, the UK, and a few other minor kingdoms, but these are not likely to rise up against each other. Besides, that would be covered in the wars and rumors of wars part of the prophecy. So again, what does the Lord mean by Kingdom against kingdom?

In my opinion, this is a reference to the unseen realm – its a supernatural uprising. Makes total sense that there is a spiritual uprising (again) against the purposes of God, and its all the more intense because Satan knows the time is short. The supernatural, unseen uprising of spiritual forces of darkness manifests in the natural realm as what we observe today. There is no question that as people turn their back on God the malevolent spiritual uprising intensifies. This is the kingdom of the pagan gods (real spiritual entities who oppose the One True God of Heaven) against the Kingdom of God.

Never has there been such a rejection of the God of Heaven as there has been in recent years. This is an aggressive uprising of spiritual forces of evil taking advantage of the great falling away from biblical faith and a worldwide resurgence of paganism. Just a few examples of the global acceptance of ancient pagan gods:

• A virtual reconstruction of the Temple of Zeus, complete with an image of Zeus himself back on his throne. Accessible via your smartphone.
• The opening of the 117th Congress in the name of the Hindu god Brahma
• The Arch of Baal erected in public spaces in major cities around the world including Washington DC, New York city.
• Satan clubs in our elementary and high schools
• An elaborate ceremony in Egypt called the Pharaoh’s Golden Parade, an entirely pagan ceremony to transport mummies to a museum which included a song in reverence to Isis.
• The continued dedication of our space launch vehicles to pagan gods, most recently NASA’s newest launch vehicle, Artemis. But in the past – Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, Saturn, Atlas, Titan, etc.
• The giant image of a foreign, false god displayed on the New York skyline.

A good book to read is Jonathan Cahn’s “The Return of the Gods”. Quite compelling.

What a contrast from 1956 to today! From the cross of Christ on public display to a terrible false god. My, how far the culture has strayed away from the One True God!

How Do We Respond?

According to Pastor Cahn, the entities behind the pagan gods are back with a vengeance. The kingdom of Satan is rising up and rebelling against the God of Israel and Messiah. The supernatural manifestations of darkness have returned. My question is this: when and how will God’s people respond?

Jesus came in the first century to a fully paganized world and showed the complete dominance of the power of God’s Kingdom over the kingdom of darkness. A full legion of demons were banished with a word. The disciples were empowered to cast out demons, heal diseases, and preach the Kingdom of God. So what has changed today? Perhaps our allegiance has changed. Do we rely on God or on our own riches.

Could the supernatural power of God return once again in our day and in our time? Right now an epic supernatural uprising has seized the culture. What is happening in the unseen realm is manifesting in the natural realm. Its been way to one-sided for far too long as God’s people keep marching to the status quo, materialistic drum beat. Its time for a return to Ephesians 6. Its time to get back into the Word of God. Its time for the Church, the true biblical church to stop all the nonsense of money soaked, entertainment based western Christianity and get back on-mission of the gospel and making disciples. Will we? I don’t know.

The church in the west seems interested in nothing but a quick return to status quo, western, Laodicean Christianity.

Kingdom is rising against kingdom. That is what we are seeing today in ever increasing measure. This birth pang sign is most definitely present.
