And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it,

Revelation 21:23-24

Are there any rulers of the nations today that walk by the light of God’s glory? I don’t think so. I can’t think of a single nation that reveres the name of the Lord today. Certainly not the United States. Not even Israel. Perhaps Hungary? Seems all nations have gone astray, following their own way which leads to death. Here in the USA, our national leaders relish death. Their feet rush to violence, injustice and death. They breath out murderous threats against the righteous and invent ways of doing evil.

But a time is coming when all nations will know that the Lord is God and that there are no other gods. In the final reality of the fulness of God’s kingdom, the kings of the earth shall bring the glory of the nations into the holy city.

Clearly, the new earth shall retain a structure of nations ruled by kings under the authority of the Lord. We, the righteous in Christ are destined to reign with him, walking by his light, bringing in the glory and the honor and the worship of all people of all the nations.

That day is coming. Are you saved? Are you ready for the awesome reality of God’s glorious kingdom?

I am weary of the evil, the darkness, the deceptions, the wickedness of this present world. Come Lord Jesus! Establish your kingdom on the earth and put all enemies under your feet until the day of their final judgement in the lake of fire.
