Over the past week, I was shocked at the anti resurrection tone of the media. I mean, this is holy week for Christians and it was always, as I recall, a time when the resurrection of Jesus Christ was front and center.
I don’t ever recall a time in which there was a lack of information or even recognition of this historic event… until this year.
What I did see was a human interest story on Ramadan that portrayed Islam in a very positive light and a story about Mormon beliefs, to include a tour of a Mormon temple, also in a very positive presentation. It actually referred to the Mormon church as just another denomination of Christianity (which is exactly what Mormons would have you believe – the Mormon faith is false).
I find it ironic that the two faiths based on angelic revelations, Islam and Mormonism, are the ones being put out there as valid. According to the apostle Paul, they are not. He warned about angelic revelations specifically:
I found an article on one of the MSM sites that undermined the resurrection accounts in the Gospels. It seems the goal of the article was to cast doubt about the most fundamental doctrine of the historic biblical Christian faith.
Most everything in the media was lifting up pagan systems of belief while throwing Christian beliefs under the bus. The only accurate and respectful statements on the resurrection were a POTUS post on Twitter (that was unexpected) and an article written by a catholic priest.
Ask I can say is:
- The doctrine of the resurrection is one of the richest and most explicit doctrines in scripture. I have a post on the resurrection that is pretty detailed. Go take a look.
- If you do not believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, you cannot enter the kingdom of God because you cannot be saved. (Romans 10:9-10).
- As the apostle Paul said, “For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.” (1 Corinthians 15:16-17)
Oh, and one more thing regarding this doctrine, you have to get this one right.

As shocking as that is I can not say I am surprised! This nation runs from the truth.
