End Times Prophecy

End Times Judgement Decreed

There are many prophecies in the bible concerning the end times. The prophecies are very specific and some Christians believe they soon will be fulfilled (I’m one of them).

Biblical prophecy conveys details about a terrible time coming on the Earth for the unrepentant – those who persist in their sin and reject the one true God, the Creator of the universe, the God of the Bible.

This terrible period, is the final part of an outline of history given in Daniel 9:20-27. This passage of the book of Daniel describes a period referred to as seventy sevens or 490 years from the time of Daniel to the end times.

The final 7 years of the prophecy are set apart from the first 69 weeks (483 years) which were fulfilled starting with a decree given by Cyrus the Great to rebuild Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile of Judah. The 483 year period ended at the crucifying of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Fulfillment of the last 7 years, referred to by some biblical scholars as Daniel’s 70th week, is coming soon. Jesus refers to this prophecy explicitly in the Olivet Discourse found in Matthew 24 and Mark 13 as a period called the Great Tribulation, which occurs (based on other prophecies in Daniel) in the second half of Daniel’s 70th week, a period of 3.5 years.

For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. Unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short. Matthew 24:21-22

This is a period of God’s judgement described by Prophets of the Old Testament and by the Apostles in the New Testament.

The stakes are very high for all of us. We are all headed to a destiny of forever either in the Kingdom of God or in the Lake of Fire. Which destiny are you headed towards?

Things are moving fast as we approach the end of things as we have known them. The judgements soon coming on the earth are described in detail in the Book of Revelation.

Born Again Believers are Not Subject to Judgement

The scriptures describe an amazing promise to the those who have given their loyalty to Jesus Christ. God’s promise is that these people are not subjected to the judgements of the tribulation period because he has said that those who believe are not destined for His wrath (1 Thes 5:1-10).

Those who are true followers of Christ – those who have repented and trusted Jesus Christ for salvation – will be extracted from the earth before the judgements start in an event called the “rapture of the church”. It is a supernatural event that will take all of God’s people, dead and alive, to be with the savior who is coming personally to snatch us away before the judgement.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17

Most people, even many believers, are dismissive of these prophecies mainly because they have never studied them or don’t believe the bible. We just want things to be normal. But as we can see, things in the world today are anything but normal.

Have you ever looked around at everything happening in the world and wonder where its all going? Everything we see today aligns with biblical prophecy. All of it is beginning to come to pass before our very eyes. And yet many miss the signs of the times because they don’t understand the prophecies. They are all in the bible.

Maybe its time to at least find out what the bible has to say. If you reject the bible and mock the prophecies, guess what – you are fulfilling prophecy. That’s right.

…in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation.” 2 Peter 3:3-4

The bible predicted long ago that the end times would be filled with sin as in the days of Noah and many would reject biblical faith.

For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:37-39

Don’t be on the wrong side of prophecy. Be on the right side of prophecy!

Such attitudes against biblical prophecy have always been prevalent in society. Even ancient Israel persecuted the prophets and apostles – nobody wants to listen to God’s warnings to repent. Even the Thessalonian passage referenced above indicates people will be saying “peace and safety”. We always want peace and safety don’t we? We look to the government agencies to keep us safe. And yet when things seem under control and people think there is “peace and safety”, the bible says the sudden destruction of God’s judgement will come. The only ones who will have “peace and safety” are those who have taken refuge under the wings of the Lord, under the shadow of the Almighty.

These events might be a little beyond normal day-to-day life, so its hard for many to accept. But as the culture continues to turn away from God and reject His ways, evil and darkness grow to the point at which God must – and will – respond. But whether you believe or not, these things will happen just as described, because the bible is true. Biblical prophecy is always fulfilled literally. I would highly recommend you at least research these topics which are rooted in scripture.

The world is now in a time of intense, rapid, prophetic fulfillment. Many in the church who study biblical prophecy see evidence that the things spoken of through the prophets and apostles are happening now.  As Jesus Christ told his disciples:

Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door.

Mat 24:33

The things that Jesus spoke of such as war, famine, earthquakes, etc have always happened throughout history.  But other things foreseen are now added to an increasing intensity of war, famine, pestilence, earthquakes. Here are a few of them to consider:

The great falling away from biblical faith. Entire cultures, even nations that once had some basis in biblical truths have rejected those truths as if they mean nothing. Look at what has happened in the USA. Most of the church has become infected with “woke” philosophy that has replaced clear biblical teaching. Eastern mysticism and neopaganism have crept into the church, brought by false teachers who easily seduce people who have no knowledge of the truth and would rather hear the doctrines of demons that fit the sanctioned talking points on main stream media. Social media is filled with deception becoming more powerful through AI. Biblical literacy is at an all time low. The teachings of the Apostles have become replaced with acceptance of wickedness. Right has become wrong, and wrong has become right. Only the Bible is the source of truth about what the creator defines as right and wrong according to His law.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20

Many have fallen away as a result of the great shaking of the world that has come as a result of the pandemic. Big time worship leaders and other prominent Christian “figures” feel it necessary to publicly renounce their faith, not knowing the influence they will have on others weak in the faith. The church continues an ungodly pattern of promotion, exploitation, and then dismissal of people. Its no wonder they lose their faith. The pattern needs to change.

Suppression of truth. The suppression of biblical truth has led to suppression of all truth. Real facts, data, and critical thought are no longer important. We are told: “the science is settled”. In scientific methodology, science is never “settled”. When the scientific process of observation, data analysis, inquiry, research, debate, and critical thinking stop, then science itself stops. Propaganda has replaced the scientific method.  Scientists have sold out their integrity to continue the flow of grant money to do officially sanctioned “research” with predetermined outcomes. Propaganda, regardless of its source, is deception.

Persecution of biblical Christians: In many parts of the world the righteous, those who follow Christ and the teachings of scripture, are persecuted. They are hunted down, imprisoned, tortured, even killed because they are Christians – they choose God and Messiah. This will continue to grow in its intensity and will require the patience, perseverence, and courage of all who follow Messiah.

“When you see all these things”.  It seems they are now all happening together just as prophesied by Jesus and the Apostles.

A key prophecy to start the end times countdown was fulfilled in 1948 when Israel became a nation again after 2000 years. It happened within a single day (Ezekiel 37), just as predicted. How could this happen?  A people scattered across the earth for 2000 years and yet retaining their cultural and religious identity.  I’ll address the depth of this prophecy in a post but it’s clearly only by the hand of the God of Israel,  that this could be done, just as he spoke of through the biblical prophets.

Israel becoming a nation again set in motion a prophetic sequence which is still emerging even today,  and accelerating towards a confluence of prophecy as we approach the heart of the end times in which we now live. Here are some biblical prophecies (not everything) that remain unfulfilled and yet are coming soon:

In Process, Rapidly Developing

  • The weakening of the nation-state system and the rise of global socialist government – government in control of every aspect of your life. Many around the world – even in the US want socialism – they will get their wish.
  • The Aliyah – the return of the Hebrew people to Israel. This is accelerating due to the intensifying antisemitism around the world.
  • A cashless, centrally controlled socialist economic system, a prerequisite to the mark of the beast and global control of all people. The technology is being rolled out even now through digital currency, AI, tokenization of all your assets. Centralized control of your ability to make a living, buy, and sell is coming sooner than you may think.
  • Ethnic groups rising up against other ethnic groups. The social divisions we see happening in our culture was foreseen. Social media has become a powerful force for polarizing people and setting them against each other based on ideology.
  • The increase of evil and the decrease of godliness
  • The preaching of the gospel of the Kingdom to the whole world as a testimony to all people
  • A great falling away from biblical faith
  • The growing persecution of biblical Christians – the few remaining true biblical followers of Christ
  • Unusual and even frightening things happening in the heavens

Upcoming Prophecies

  • The removal of all born again Christians from the earth – one day all true believers in Christ will be removed from the earth prior to the wrath of God poured out upon the world. This event will need followed soon by an unrestrained torrent of evil upon the earth.
  • The judgement against Elam (part of modern day Iran) – Elam will become uninhabitable. Nuclear disaster?
  • The complete and permanent destruction of Damascus
  • The Psalm 83 war – Israel prevails over its enemies
  • The movement toward a single, worldwide religion under a person known as the false prophet. Ecumenical initiatives spearheaded by the Roman Catholic Church will culminate in a single religion geared towards the worship of the beast. It’s already happening.
  • The Ezekiel 38 war – Israel is protected supernaturally from a large military alliance attacking it.  That alliance is forming even now.
  • Other prophesied wars yet unfulfilled
  • The rise of the beast (aka the antichrist) as the one world leader who deceives the whole world into thinking he is the answer to all of our problems.
  • The building of the 3rd temple in Jerusalem – the existence of this temple is implied in Daniel, Mat 24, and Revelation
  • The Opening of the 7 seals by Jesus Christ (The Lamb): war, pestilence, famine, the wrath of the Lamb – a great earthquake, and more.

A Two Phase, 7 Year Period Identified in Daniel 9

  • The Consolidation of the Antichrist Kingdom – a 3.5 year period of war, famine, pestilence, and the beginning of God’s judgement upon the wicked.
  • The Abomination of Desolation: The desecration of the temple by antichrist as he declares himself as god and demands worship under penalty of death for those who refuse.
  • The Great Tribulation – a phase of God’s intensifying judgement upon the wicked and the kingdom of Antichrist. Many will continue their rebellion against God but many will repent and believe in Messiah. This will cost them their lives.
  • The roll out of the Mark of the Beast and the choice to either receive it or die. The mark of the beast will be received on the right hand or the forehead and will be required to participate in the economy. Receiving the mark is an act of allegiance to the antichrist and instant loss of any hope of salvation – there is no salvation for anyone who takes the mark of the beast. Take it, and any chance of salvation is forever lost. I hope this is clear.
  • The 7 bowl and 7 vial judgements – terrible judgements poured out upon the earth and the antichrist government.
  • The battle of Har Megiddo (Armageddon).
  • The defeat of antichrist – the disposition of antichrist and the false prophet in the lake of fire
  • The binding of satan for 1000 years.
  • The literal 1000 year reign of Christ on the earth, known as the millennial kingdom or the Kingdom of the Son.
  • The release of Satan, the final deceit of the nations, the final great war and final defeat of Satan.
  • The final judgement (the great white throne judgement) of all of the wicked.  The Book of the Deeds containing the charges against the unrepentant, unsaved people are opened.
  • The final disposition of Satan, death, hades and the wicked in the lake of fire.

The Final Reality

  • The heavens and the earth are made new; all things restored back to the original intent. Are you an environmentalist? Are you concerned about climate change? The answer is coming and it has nothing to do with mankind.  God will make all things new; the former things remembered no more. It will be an amazing, pure, unpolluted paradise. If that is what you seek, then follow Christ – that is where he is taking His people.
  • The Holy City, New Jerusalem, a fantastic,  multi-dimensional city will come down from heaven.  God will be in the city. He will give it its light through the Lamb (the Lord Jesus). No vagrants, no violence, no autonomous zones, only people who all have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
  • People of every ethnicity, every nation, will be represented.
  • And, the lake of fire for the wicked, darkness, death, hades, the antichrist, the false prophet. God will never allow sin to enter his kingdom.

Sadly, only 6% of people in America (probably much less for the world population) maintain a biblical world view and are unaware of the signs of the times that Jesus spoke of before he ascended to heaven. People go about their daily lives, oblivious, not recognizing they are being pulled in to strengthening, demonically energized deception and wickedness.

The only protection is the truth of scripture which is rejected more and more. Such was the pattern in ancient Israel, such is the pattern today. The strategies of the forces of darkness at work in the world right now are very effective towards those who do not believe and even believers who have strayed from God’s Word.

How would people know about wickedness when there is a rejection of God’s Word, when His ways are rejected on a personal level as well as by an entire culture?  Then wickedness becomes the norm because people don’t know the truth. Concepts of personal purity, holiness, righteousness, godliness, even basic good manners are lost and not even mentioned. They are replaced by depravity, darkness, idolatry, violence, evil.

And yet it seems life as people know it will go on as it always has.  Right?  People get up every morning and go to work and save their money, buy stuff they want, get married, have children, etc like nothing will ever change – we will just get back to the status quo prior to COVID.  Life will just return to normal. That is our expectation.  But will it? As Jesus said:

For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away. (Mat 24:38-39)

Life was going on as per normal until the flood came. That must have been a surprise. And so it will be again, except judgement will not come by flood but instead will play out as detailed by Jesus, Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel in their prophecies,  and by John in the Book of Revelation.

Will you be one who enters the Ark of Salvation (Jesus Christ) or will you be outside when God’s judgement comes upon the earth? Will you be in the shadow of the Almighty when the recompense of the wicked comes? Only you can decide.

If you repent and turn to Christ for salvation now, then you will not be subjected to the coming judgements spoken of by Jesus and as detailed in Revelation and in the writings of the biblical prophets (Isaiah, Ezekiel, Joel, et al, those who have their prophecies in the bible,  not the knuckleheads that claim to be prophets today).

The prophetic path from Genesis 3 to Revelation 21 is almost complete. Everything is happening exactly as spoken of through the biblical prophets. When all is done, when all biblical prophecies have been completely fulfilled, there will only be the final reality: the fullness of God’s Kingdom for the righteous and the Lake of Fire for the wicked.

Maybe information here will help you make some sense of what’s happening in the world today from a prophetic perspective. God has much prepared for those who trust in Him. He invites you to into a glorious reality that can begin today. You can have eternal life now.   Just take some time to read through the “Steps to Eternal Life” page. Please. It will only cost you about 30 minutes of your time.

If you are saved, great; you have nothing to fear. You will not come under God’s judgement. You can look forward to the “peace and safety” that are already yours in Christ. While the world is being judged for 7 years, you will be in paradise with Christ. Imagine a place where there is no COVID, no lock downs, no oppressive mandates, no violence in the streets, no injustice. Only eternal life in the green pastures and still waters of heaven in the presence of the God who made you.

If you are not saved, you are by definition, numbered among the wicked – those who will remain on the planet and subjected to the judgements of God. Your chances of survival are not good. It does not have to be that way. Shouldn’t you at least research these things for yourself? Don’t delay. Time is running out.

Paul the Apostle wrote the following:

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.

Ephesians 1:18-19

This is my prayer for you today: that you would trust Christ and know the surpassing greatness of His power to deliver you from sin, to His peace today, and to give you a future, an inheritance in the coming Kingdom of God.
